These bits cannot be used for SETTING a base link--only for using effects that modify a base link (e.g., these bits could not be used to pay for Access through Alpha, since Alpha only sets a base link, but does not allow you to increase your link). JD Wiker

Trivia

This is an obvious reference to the Greek myth of Pandora's Box. In the myth, Pandora succumbed to the temptation to open a forbidden box, thereby releasing all manner of darkness, tragedy, and evil to the world. The last item to be released from the box, however, was hope, the strongest force which allows humankind to live with the blacker whims of fate.
